TubeBuddy is a free browser extension that integrates directly into YouTube to help you run your channel with ease. It is defiantly an extension you will want to get as a YouTuber. If you want to get it right now they go to tubebuddy.com/devinstreet to get it for free or get the premium versions. If you’re not convinced already to get it, here are four reasons to:
Promotional Material
TubeBuddy makes it easy to do all kinds of promotion with your channel and videos. TubeBuddy can provide you with shortened linked to videos, your channel, and playlist. These shortened links can be tracked and you can receive analytics on how many clicks you got, where the clicks came from, what browser and device the clicker used, and what country they are coming from.
TubeBuddy will also provide images of your channel banner and channel icon, in case you ever lose them, and also embedded code to embedded your most recent video on your website. Like the embedded video below.
Keyword Ranking Tracker
Another great feature about TubeBuddy, and one of my most frequently used features, is the Keyword Ranking Reports. The Keyword Tracker lets you enter keyword that you are trying to ranking for and then see where you video is ranking, how it has risen/fallen since the last report, and how you compare to your competitors in your niche. For example, below is my ranking report for September 22nd for the keyword “Does Sub4Sub Work” and how I compare to competitors like Derral Eves, Roberto Blake, and Brian G Johnson. As you can see I rank 6th for the keyword and have not moved since my last report on September 11th, but Brian has dropped four spots for the keyword since September 11th to September 22nd.
Tagging and SEO
The tag tool is my favorite part of TubeBuddy because it is so helpful with SEO. For one, TubeBuddy will show where your video ranks for certain tags, so you know which ones are working and which are not, like in the example below from my video “How To Delete YouTube On Your Phone” where I rank 9th, 10th, and 13th for three tags.
Not only do you have this useful feature, but you also have the Tag Tools bar
You can do simple tasks like copy the tags to import in another video, clear all the tags and start over, and sort the tags by how they rank in search. But what is important is the Suggest and Explore buttons. The Suggest button will bring up a launch that shows you some suggested tags to use for the video, and will also show how many views you have received from that tag and how many other top videos used the tag.
The Explore button will bring up the tag explorer that lets you analyzes a single keyword and gives similar tags, videos and channels ranking for the tag, how good the tag is based on search volume and competition, trends, auto-suggestions by YouTube and Google, historically how the tag has done, and etc.
All of the features in the tag tool should defiantly boost your videos in search.
Bulk Copying/Replacing/Inserting
Another great feature that TubeBuddy offers in the Bulk button.
This feature will let you find, replace, and insert anything into your titles, descriptions, tags, cards, and end screens. I had never seen the hype that so many give it until my Amazon Associates account was accidentally terminated and Amazon support would never give me an answer for why it was closed. I had to create a new Associates account and would need to replace over 350 links with new links. The Bulk feature helped me turn around 350 replacements into 10 replacements.
